Gutters made in steel are very popular in some European countries, thanks to the multiple benefits of coated steel: mechanic properties, corrosion resistance and long lasting colours.
Depending on the desired appearance, different steels can be selected for the production of rain water systems. The steel usually used is very soft (DX54 or DX56) and highly formable to allow the processing of gutters.
For coloured aspects, we recommend a substrate with a zinc layer of minimum 275g/sqm (or equivalent) combined with the Granite® Rain HDX to ensure a long durability. A life time guarantee is linked to our Granite® offer for this application. It can be granted automatically or on request, depending the product, building type and area. Please read our Granite® guarantee conditions.
For metallic finishes, Magnelis® (with a coating mass of 310g/sqm) can also be used.
By choosing ArcelorMittal best in class productsyou make the choice of a guaranteed quality and sustainability, as our products are certified without chromates and heavy metals (compliant with REACh European regulation). Matt colours (see Granite® Storm palette) or patterned colours (like Granite® Impression Cloudy) combined with tiles profiling ensure an authentic look close to ceramics.
